What a freakin' mess! I bought a new 250gb hard drive to put all my iTunes stuff on. Moved the files, fired up iTunes, everything looked ok so ditched the files from the other drive. Then when I tried to play something every single tune/video/audiobook claimed it couldn't find the original file. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek
So I did a backup. Then my drive was nearly full. WTF?! OVER!
After much more digging I discovered that when I started iTunes after moving the files I SHOULD have held down the option key so I could then tell the stupid program WHERE THE FILES WENT. So I have now spent most of last night and today manually removing EVERY SINGLE FREAKIN' DUPLICATE in the library and hunting down stuff that DIDN'T get added the first time around.
oh somebody shoot me, please.
And I KNOW better. That's the sad thing. I've moved the files once before with no problem but I READ THE DIRECTIONS FIRST. sigh.
I'm so angry with myself I can't bear it.
Haven't done any beads ... still have some in the bucket waiting to be taken off the mandrels and cleaned.
I'm going to go take a nap. DENIAL isn't just a river in Egypt.
