Which makes it really difficult to get any torching done because by the time I fire up both oxy concentrators, the kiln and the torch, it's hotter in the studio than it is outside. So I got going early this morning and got a few things made. It's not going to get any better in the next week. Guess we'll have to turn our attention to getting stuff done on the new house whether we want to or not!

Well I really stepped into it over on one of the glass forums. I should know better. If you don't agree with these folks they'll turn on you like a pack of rabid dogs. It's happened to me enough times I should know better. This time they were breaking out the torches and pitchforks and going after someone who made an innocuous post (ok so it was the 2nd such in 24 hours with the same subject) and insisting said poster was dissing the "doyenne" of ebay.My take on all this is EVERYone is jealous as hell of the money this person makes but they wouldn't admit it if you rammed bamboo splinters under their fingernails. And if that's politically incorrect in today's climate TS. OK now I'm pissed.ANYway. They have all but flayed this person for her one paragraph post. She at least has had sense enough not to come back. I, on the other hand, was stupid enough to wade in and voice my opinion. See above.I made the JOKING comment that maybe we should hand out some midol. dear god. You'd think I suggested that they ate their young. Now they're after me. Again.Guess they lost their collective sense of humor today. So now I've vented a bit and feel a little better but not much. I mean, I ask you. Is it SO unreasonable to expect people to get along? If they were sick of reading about this woman wanting to know the big "secret" to working Terra why the hell did they enter the thread and start posting? Well, I'll tell you why. They were all in a peevish mood and looking to vent on someone. First it was BK and now it's me. And they're too cowardly to admit it.

I've been sadly neglectful again with my blog. It's not that I'm so busy so much as I am overwhelmed by life right now and just can't get off dead center. You know the old "deer caught in the headlights" routine.Anyway. New beads were posted yesterday so if you haven't come here via my website you can click Home on the left there and go take a peek.I'm revamping my inventory cycle. This should be good. So if you were looking for something that was on the site just the other day and it's not there now, it either sold or has been moved to my Etsy store (http://www.darleenmb.etsy.com).Out of town company this week, a wedding in Montana next weekend, things to do to get moving on the new house, eegads. No wonder I'm frozen in place.Well. Guess having said all that I'd best get busy. TTFN.

It's been chilly and rainy again the creek decided to overflow its banks in a few spots. Noteably across the creek from us, the field is flooded and about 1/4 mile from here a couple of houses are getting wet feet. Unusual for us. Anyway, here's some pics from the back yard. The stairs aren't usually this wet!The pump is ok, about 12" above the water. You can usually see a "sand bar" downstream towards the bridge but it's under water today. The neighbor's field is getting a good soaking.Neighbor's field again.Upstream is also flooded. Good thing we're 8' out of a 100 year flood!

OK, pictures of the trip are up and can be viewed athttp://www.darleenmb.com/pages/ArizonaTrip2007.phpThere are two pages of pics and of course I go them out of order. The last ones are from the trip TO Arizona and were taken just outside Moab, UT. Two pages worth. Enjoy!Joey's bday is tomorrow. Man! I'm married to a certified geezer! LOL. So I need to run to town and pick up a DQ cake for him (his fave) and a present. Good thing I checked the calendar yesterday cause I thought his bday wasn't until NEXT weekend.sheesh.Guess I should post a little about Canyon de Chelly. It was SO cool! If you've ever read any Tony Hillerman novels you'll be familiar with the location. here's some more info for you to read about:http://www.desertusa.com/ind1/du_cdc_main.htmlhttp://www.nps.gov/cach/
