It took over two years and more money than either of us wants to consider, but WOW! From a dark, dank, shed type "garage" to a shiny new, bright studio. I'm so happy!!! Of course, now I'm all moved in it isn't nearly so neat and tidy. Well, I'm working!

Amazing! Can you believe this!!?

Beautiful job. Just beautiful!

Even Sammy is amazed.

Great trim work. Too bad the pic is so dark.

What a transformation.

I just can't get over the flooring. Think I can get him to do the kitchen now?

As it turns out, I did take a few pics of this before Joe started working. This was basically an oversized, attached garage that was built like a shed. Three walls on a concrete footer and a dirt floor. Ugh. It made for great storage when we first moved in, though. The door and sidelights replaced the garage door, concrete covered the dirt, and a lot of elbow work by Joe took it this far. BTW, this has been under way for two years now. I have proof. See the date in the corner of the second picture? October 4, 1998!

The concrete has been poured and the garage door taken down. Not much to look at.
Joey, so proud of his work so far. It's not really night, just the black plastic from the concrete job.
"Where did I put that hammer?"

"Let's see, I don't think I left it up there." Windows go to the interior of the house and will end up as clerestory windows in the exterior wall.

"And it doesn't appear to be in here. Hmm. I wonder if I left it in the garage?"
The back wall and if you think this is dark, you should have seen it before we poured the concrete for the floor!
